Biography

Alvaro has been involved in the sports industry for 8 years and has been a Lawyer at Atlético de Madrid since 2013. He graduated with an LL.M. in International Sports Law (ISDE). Previously, he worked as Deputy Director at the Men’s Handball World Championship in Spain. Alvaro is a Member of the First Instance Disciplinary Board of the Spanish Handball Federation and lecturer of several University Masters, conferences and seminars in Europe since 2012, while also having authored several articles of the Sports Law area of practice.

As a result, he’s developed a solid know-how in the area of football. His daily work is about disciplinary sanctions, federative matters, compliance with regulations in the participation of the Club in national and international competitions, so he will be able to draw his perspective about the future of football and his professional development as a lawyer involved in the sports world.
