BEYOND THE CLASSROOM

NETWORKING WEEK + FIELD TRIPS

Although the Professional Master in Football Business offers exceptional classroom learning and networking experiences thanks to the profiles of our Experts and Candidates, we take it a level further - beyond the classroom - through our dedicated Field Trips and Networking Week.

FIELD TRIPS

At The FBA, Candidates are exposed to the reality of the market as a result of which visits to football organizations are a crucial moment of their education. Field Trips offer a unique opportunity to learn and see how the concepts and practices learned during the courses are brought to reality, while it also represents a unique opportunity for Candidates to position themselves in the market and broaden their network.

Each Edition, we organize an exciting Field Trip schedule – with various visits both in Portugal and other European countries – with the intention of covering different types and sizes of football organizations as well as departments. By combining behind-the-scenes tours with insightful presentations from these organizations’ senior management, Candidates get an exclusive look into inner workings of various industry stakeholders which can include football clubs, leagues, (con)federations, and other relevant entities.

NETWORKING WEEK

What is a better way to break into the football industry than by participating in a football business event?

The Football Business Academy is proud to ensure, year after year, the attendance of our Candidates and Staff to prominent industry events, such as World Football Summit, where key football industry stakeholders are brought together. The presence of football clubs, federations, leagues, sponsors, agencies, suppliers, start-ups and so forth provides a unique environment where all of the industry’s sectors are represented, with their decision makers looking to network, gain insight, and socialize with current and future leaders of the industry.

Moreover, these events have a wide range of panel discussions and presentations in which the latest industry developments are addressed, translating into an additional and invaluable learning experience for our Candidates.

For The FBA it is really important that our Candidates have access to international business events like these, as being at the epicenter of the football community will bring the opportunity to boost their career and portfolio of contacts, as well as to expand their knowledge of the industry at a global level.

During the Networking Week, we usually also organize additional activities and visits to local football stakeholders, enhancing even further the learning and networking opportunities for everyone involved.
