Based in the city of Lisbon, Portugal, ISM Improving Sports was initially born as an Academy tailor-made project for another FBA Partner, Sporting Clube de Portugal. It was not until April 2018 when they launched a worldwide innovative product aimed at football clubs called the ERP System. ISM Improving Sports’ evolution went hand in hand with the new trends and opportunities that technology offered and could be applied to football for further development. Quickly, they added other club names to their portfolio of clients, such as Sevilla FC in Spain, but also kept expanding in Portugal with Vitoria SC and Estoril Praia (an FBA Partner). Moreover, FC SKA Brasil, the MBP School of Coaches, FC Damm, UD Almería, Al Ain, and Venezia FC (an FBA Partner) joined its expanding and worldwide network, among others.

This mutually beneficial alliance seeks to foster collaboration on strategically significant subjects, unlocking valuable opportunities for both The FBA and ISM Improving Sports. The primary objectives include providing a comprehensive learning environment for FBA Master Candidates—future industry professionals—through internships that will expose them to different scopes of applied tech in football, such as big data management, predictive modelling, improving training facilities, and understanding how a scouting platform works. Beyond education, the collaboration aims to cultivate synergies aligned with the clubs’ business plans and development strategies.

The FBA and ISM Improving Sports share a commitment to innovation and education to further develop the industry and the professionals around it. This partnership not only solidifies The FBA’s position as a leader in football business education but also strengthens ISM Improving Sports’ global footprint in the ever-evolving landscape of professional football.


ISM Improving Sports comprises platforms aimed at Football Clubs (FootballISM), Football Coaches (CoachISM), and other individual sports (SportsISM). These solutions maximize management and organizational aspects, aimed at supporting football companies with a more accurate decision-making process. In 2024, understanding the need to improve sports also from a fan engagement perspective, the newest product, ISM Fan Engagement, will be launched.
