The FBA Launches Women in Soccer Partnership With Unique Full-Ride Scholarship
Geneva, 10 July 2025
The Football Business Academy (The FBA) is delighted to announce a new partnership with Women in Soccer (WIS), a growing network and movement that supports women and marginalized individuals who work or aspire to work in the football industry.
This collaboration reflects a shared dedication to fostering greater representation and opportunity in the business side of the game, starting with the launch of a unique full-ride scholarship for the September 2025 intake of The FBA’s renowned Professional Master in Football Business. Applications are now open, with the deadline set for July 31, 2025.
Women in Soccer is a free community dedicated to elevating individuals who have historically lacked access to opportunities in the football space. Through job leads, industry insights, and an active platform for professional growth, WIS is working to make football a more inclusive, equitable, and exciting place to build a career.
This partnership with The FBA marks the next step in that mission. Together, the two organizations aim to empower future football business leaders by removing financial barriers and creating pathways for greater representation across the industry. The scholarship recipient will gain access to a globally respected academic program, real-world internships, and The FBA’s expansive international network.
“It’s a pleasure to join forces with Women in Soccer as we continue to drive change in the industry. Since its inception, our program has sought to bring people with different backgrounds, skillsets, and ideas into football’s ecosystem. This partnership goes further in that direction and will provide many benefits to WIS’ members over time.”
– Kristian Dobrev, Deputy CEO, The FBA
“Partnering with Football Business Academy is an exciting step forward in our continued commitment to elevating people with underrepresented gender identities in the industry. The FBA’s full-ride Women in Soccer scholarship will be the first of many game-changing opportunities for emerging leaders (within or outside the industry) who are ready to shape the future of soccer.”
–Grace Ahrens, Executive Director, Women in Soccer
