The Football Business Academy (FBA) is thrilled to announce a new partnership agreement with Pafos FC, a professional football club competing in the first division of Cyprus. Founded in July 2014 after the merger of former clubs AEK Kouklia and AEP Paphos, Pafos FC is a relatively young club seeking strong performance both on the pitch and financially. Through this collaboration, both entities aim to create learning experiences in football and demonstrate how a club is run from the inside for our Master Candidates, while benefiting from Student Business Projects crafted for the club and the extensive connections The FBA has built within the industry.
Nicolás Martín, Partnerships Manager at The FBA, said: “Our partnership with Pafos F.C. represents the strength of longstanding relationships. With the consistent support of Christoforos, who has been part of The FBA family for years, we’re set to bring meaningful initiatives to life. This collaboration reflects both trust and a shared vision, which we’re proud to deepen alongside such a driven club“.
“Pafos FC is on a journey of excellence, both on and off the field, as the club aims at cementing its place as one of the leaders of Cypriot football and in parallel, establish itself as a force to be reckoned with in European football. Our partnership with The Football Business Academy is another step forward in this journey, as the ambition of the organization and its Candidates is aligned with the club’s mission and vision. We are excited to host the future leaders of the global football industry and create history together.”
- Christoforos Matheou, Head of Media & Communications, Pafos FC
At the European level, Pafos FC currently participates in competitions such as the UEFA Europa League and the Conference League. The FBA’s Master Candidates will have the opportunity to engage with Pafos FC, learning from real-world cases, contributing to projects, and gaining practical insights into the football landscape. This partnership will also open doors for networking, internships (currently, two FBA Candidates from the 14th Edition are benefiting from the on-site experience), and professional opportunities, further enhancing The FBA’s commitment to equipping students with hands-on experience.
Pafos FC is determined to become one of the leading football clubs in Cyprus, and is committed to sustainable growth, professional development, and making a positive impact in their community through football.
