Luis is a senior industry expert and proven innovator and transformational leader who has created, developed and executed world-class commercial opportunities and transformation strategies at the highest level, managing some of the largest global names in the football industry.
He started his career in football in 1995 managing sports talent, working with famous stars such as Luis Figo, Ronaldo Nazario, and Andryi Shevchenko. He also assumed a very close senior advisory relationship with Real Madrid CF, where he was responsible for the new club commercial model, for the acquisition of the first global main shirt sponsorship relationship with Siemens Mobile or the global followed transfer of star David Beckham from Manchester United.
Since retiring from sports talent management at the end of 2006, Luis has become a sports transformation evangelist working in senior executive roles or providing C-level consultancy services to some of the world’s greatest brands in multiple sports such as Manchester City FC, Valencia FC, Red Bull and Ferrari, as well as assuming leading roles at commercial and innovation working groups at the likes of LaLiga, the Premier League and the European Club Association (ECA).
Currently he is dedicating most of his time to different investments in sports properties and sports technologies as well as advising leading technology brands, digital and analytics agencies, sports leagues and sports organizations in their investments or work flows in the world of sports transformation. He is also a member of the advisory team of Microsoft Sports, Microsoft Global Sports Innovation Centre and of the LTE-Broadcast Alliance.
Interested and focused on innovation & technology integration in sports, Luis is a firm believer that sports are on the verge of a global disruptive cycle lead by globalization, technology, consumer change, data and content immersion, and The FBA students will be blown away by his vast industry knowledge, experiences, and creative ideas, thereby start thinking as transformation leaders themselves.
